The Books
Sisters Chamomile and Meadowsweet are Hedge-Hobs who tend to the neighbouring animals with their curious cures and magical medicines. Cousins Periwinkle and Leatherleaf are Hob-Herbalists who run two funny, old shops selling potent potions and linctus lotions in the town of Bog Myrtle for all of the friendly folk. This family of goblins love to help all they can in the Gardens of Gardinia.

Meet Wee Wilberforce McGrub, plant poet and intrepid explorer. He spends his days in The Botanical Kingdom with his pencil and leaf-book, foraging fields, wandering woods and meandering moors, writing Slug Sonnets about the plant characters he encounters. From strange shrubs to tremendous trees, fearsome fungi and wicked weeds, Wilberforce is always ready for an adventure!

Katja Faye Wood is a retired librarian, editor and art historian who lives in a rambling farmhouse in East Lothian, Scotland with her twenty-five birds and her dog Smurf.
Her books feature Otherworlds, magical portals leading to Gardinia with its Goblins, The Botanical Kingdom with its Plant Poets and Avairia with its bounteous birds, all of them populated by magical beings and a cast of curious creatures.
